Apartment 702 is a 1500 sq.ft. home located in Juhu, Mumbai. The site was endowed with copious natural light and ample air circulation with a view of tree tops.

The client gave us a brief of minimal, clutter free spaces adhering to a grid of clean lines and use of minimal materials.

Optimizing the green view and light and ventilation, the zoning was demarcated on the base of vastu in the bare shell.

The house reflects a story of clean ensemble of the wooden furniture, natural material, ample of greens and bright hued upholstery, this house reflects the characteristics of the user.

The spaces has been planned to maximize floor space, and utility.

The living room has two zones, a formal and an informal seating. The formal describes the main seating area with a Grey hued sofa and a wood paneled TV unit whereas the informal extends onto a low raised wooden platform with a sliding partition to give privacy and convert it into a guest bedroom as required.

The kitchen is planned minimal storage and a dining table that cantilevers from the breakfast counter.

The master bedroom opens up to the south west with ample of western light.

The island bed leaves ample amount of free circulation space for ease in movement and notionally marks the enclosed balcony space by its headboard, creating a reading corner.

The daughter’s bedroom has a floating bed resting against the glass bathroom wall. The hue of this room is cozy and casual to suit the young occupant.
